Dave Latourette enters his 12th season as the Associate Head Coach and Performance Specialist with the Bear Cub soccer program. Latourette is an instructor in the Kinesiology, Athletics & Dance Department and is also respected nationally as goalkeeping clinician and speaker.
He began his coaching career at Eastern Connecticut State University and followed coaching stints at: The University of Hartford, Dartmouth, and the University of Arkansas. At Hartford he coached in three NCAA Division I Tournaments including one Final Four appearance. From there he coached at NCAA Division I programs Dartmouth College and the University of Arkansas. Latourette also served as Director of Coaching for the Upper Valley Lightning Soccer Club in Hanover NH, and was the National Director for Toni DiCicco’s SoccerPlus Goalkeeper School.
Latourette attended Lyme-Old Lyme High School where he participated in four sports. After graduating he attended Springfield College and Eastern Connecticut State University where he played soccer, and in his senior year was team captain, team MVP, and nominated as an NCAA Division III All American.
Coach Latourette earned an M.S. from West Virginia University in Coaching & Performance Science, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education / Exercise Science with a minor in Sport Coaching from Eastern Connecticut State University. He also has a National Diploma and Goalkeeping Diploma from the United Soccer Coaches (formerly NSCAA).
