Ron Myers started his tenure at SRJC in the fall of 1978 as the assistant baseball coach to head coach Lew Read. He held that position for two years. In the 1980-1981 academic year, Myers left SRJC to pursue a Master's Degree at Fresno State University. After he earned his degree, Myers came back to Santa Rosa Junior College as the head baseball coach and a full time faculty member 1981 through 2003. In March of 2003 through May 2007, he served his first period as Interim Athletics Director. After teaching in the KAD department during fall 2007 through spring 2013, Myers began his second tenure as Dean/Athletics Director for the KAD department and served as such through the spring of 2015.  Myers returned as a full-time faculty member in the KAD department in the Fall of 2015.

Myers began his education at Santa Rosa Junior College 1972-1974 where he played baseball two years. From there he was accepted into Fresno State University where he competed in baseball and earned his B.A. in Physical Education. After two years Myers went back to Fresno State 1980-1981 and earned his Master's in Physical Education.

Myers has been married to his wife Carrie, since 1983. They have three children, D.T., Christa, and Casey, who have all attended SRJC. Myers spends his free time with his family, supporting his home church Spring Hill, and playing golf.
