SRJC started the post season with a 2nd place team trophy behind #2 state ranked Fresno City College and qualified 11 to next week's state championship tournament (top 8 qualify). The Bear Cubs wrestled tough throughout the lineup with 11 medalists and nine finishing in the top six. Connor Jeong (125), Chase Claassen (141), Joe Ellis (197), & Asher Nischke (285) all finished in 2nd place after earning their trip to the finals. David Sypnicki (165) & Ryan George (197) both finished in 3rd place with 3-1 records on the day.  Ali Hamzia (174) finished in 4th place, Erickson Edpao (133) finished in 5th place, Barrett Carrancho (174) finished in 6th place, John Reg (157) finished in 7th place & Lucas Wold (149) finished in 8th place. SRJC's 2nd place team finish is the program's highest finish in over 20 years. Next up for the Bear Cubs is the 3C2A State Championship on 12/12-12/13 hosted by Sierra College.
