The Bear Cubs traveled to Sac City College on Friday 9/19 where they came away with the 3rd place team trophy behind an entire team performance. SRJC had 5 finalists including 4 champions: Connor Jeong (125) 1st place 4-0, Chase Claassen (141) 1st place 3-0, Joe Ellis (197) 2nd place to returning state finalist Chance Evans (Cuesta), Ryan George (220, non scoring) 1st place 2-0, Asher Nischke (285) 1st place 4-0. Connor Jeong (125) was also awarded Most Outstanding Wrestler of the tournament for his performance on the day. Other medalists for the Bear Cubs included Erickson Edpao (133) 3rd place 5-1 on the day, Lucas Wold (141) 4th place, David Sypnicki (165) 4th place, & Barrett Carrancho (184) 4th place. Next up for the Bear Cubs is the Lemoore Invite 9/27 at Lemoore College.
