SRJC softball is headed to the 3C2A State Tournament, riding one of the most dangerous lineups in the state and fully embracing its identity as the underdog. After grinding through the regular season and postseason on the strength of relentless, team–first at-bats, the Bear Cubs have powered their way back to the state tournament for the first time since 1982, proving they belong on the biggest stage. Opponents may see a low seed, but SRJC's bats tell a different story: a deep, confident order that can score in bunches, pressure defenses, and change a game with one swing. With nothing to lose and everything to prove, this group heads to CSU Bakersfield hungry, loose, and ready to show that "underdog" is just another word for overlooked.
