Alec Kobre attended Montgomery High School and was the captain of the North Coast Section championship team, in 2011.

At Santa Rosa Junior College, Alec was the captain of the 2013-14 team and helped the Bear Cubs win their first California state men’s basketball championship.

He received a full scholarship to attend the University of Pacific. He is one of the few NCAA student-athletes to be a 50/40/90 which means he shot 50 percent field goals, 40 percent from the three point line, and shot 90 percent from the free throw line.

After graduating college, he played professional FIBA basketball in Israel and Spain.

He joined the University of Arkansas’ men’s basketball program as a graduate assistant in 2019. He became an assistant coach at Menlo College in 2020-22 and, now, is part of the Santa Rosa Junior College men’s basketball staff.
