Karimah Hay-Kammerer
Title: Assistant Coach

Coach Karimah Hay is a Sonoma County native with a strong background as both a collegiate athlete and coach, bringing extensive experience at the high school, club, and collegiate levels to the Santa Rosa Junior College Beach Volleyball program.

A graduate of Rancho Cotate High School, Karimah began her collegiate career at Santa Rosa Junior College, where she excelled as a student-athlete for the Bear Cubs. During her time at SRJC, she earned First Team All-Conference honors, helped lead the program to two 3C2A State Championship tournaments, and was selected to the CCCAA All-Tournament Team in her second season.

Following her time at SRJC, Karimah earned a scholarship to Webber International University in Florida, where she competed in both beach and indoor volleyball. At the collegiate level, she was named Player of the Week and earned First Team All-Conference honors while completing her bachelor’s degree in Corporate Communications.

After concluding her playing career, Karimah transitioned into coaching and has become a respected presence in the local volleyball community. She served as a head coach for Aftershock Volleyball Club and joined Aloha Beach Volleyball Club that same year as an assistant coach. In 2022, she was promoted to Associate Director, a role she continues to hold.

In addition to her club coaching responsibilities, Karimah has been an assistant beach volleyball coach at Cardinal Newman High School since the program’s inception in 2022 and assisted with the school’s indoor volleyball program during the 2025 season. She remains actively involved in all these programs while continuing to develop athletes at multiple levels.

Coach Hay is proud to return to Santa Rosa Junior College as an assistant coach, bringing her experience, leadership, and deep local ties back to the program where her collegiate career began.
