The SRJC women locked up a another top 10 ranking, finishing 9th overall at the 2019 CCCAA State Swimming Championships last weekend at De Anza College in Cupertino. SRJC was represented by a small but mighty team of five women who qualified for the event.
The Bear Cubs were led by freshman sensation Katie Morrison who finished 3rd and 4th in the 100 and 200 Back events respectively. She also finaled in the 50 Free and was a key member of SRJC's top 8 ranking 200 Free (3rd) and 200 Medley (6th) sprint relays. Sophomore team captain, Reilly Clarkson also had a strong performance finishing 7th in the 200 Back and 9th in the 400 IM both in season best times.
Alex Langley (100 Breast-12th, 200 Breast-14th), Molly Davis (200 Back-12th, 1650 Free-16th), and Mary Khattar (100 Fly-10th) all advanced to the consolation finals in their events as well and rounded out the 400 Medley, 800 Free, and 400 Free relays for the Cubs.
