Women's Swimming gets another 2nd place finish in socal

The SRJC women won 6 events and took 2nd overall at the Riverside City College Invitational this weekend in southern California.  This was an important mid-season meet for the Cubs and both returning and freshman athletes hit many season and personal bests with a strong overall team performance. 

SRJC was led by sophomore Alexandra Langley who won both the 100 and 200 Breaststroke events as well as being a member on the Cubs winning 200 Free, 200 Medley, and 400 Medley relays. Sophomore captain Reilly Clarkson won the 200 IM and finished third in the 400 IM as well. Freshman Katie Morrison had a break out swim with a personal best in the 100 Back with a time of 1:00.56 and placed 2nd in the 200 Back.

Other top three performances included:  Morrison (50 Free), Mary Khattar (100 Fly and 100 Free), and Molly Davis (1650 Free).

SRJC will host their next meet this Saturday, March 16th.  They will compete against Las Positas and Sierra College at 10:00am and then swim against the Alumni at 4pm.
