Women's Swim & Dive opens 2018 season with two wins

With strong sophomore leadership and a talented freshmen class, SRJC opens the 2018 season at home with two wins after a top three state finish last year. 

The Cubs opened at the Quinn Swim Center hosting two meets last weekend.  On Friday they swam against Allan Hancock College winning the dual 79-24. SRJC won 23 out of the 25 events offered at the meet. Sophomore Taylor Sargis (200 Free, 100 Breast), and freshmen Reilly Clarkson (1650 Free, 200 IM) and Mariah Wong (50 Free, 100 Free) were all double winners and members of the winning 400 medley and 400 free relays as well.

On Saturday SRJC hosted the annual NorCal Relays invitational including some of the top teams in the state. Winning six relays, the Bear Cubs edged out the 2017 state champions, Sierra College in the overall team standings.

SRJC hits the road this weekend and continues action with a double-dual meet against Las Positas and Sierra College, on Friday, in Rocklin.  Racing begins at 12pm.
