Women's Swimming: Lee and Sargis Capture Pentathlon and Sprint Titles at ARC Meet

In one of their final regular season meets this year, the Bear Cubs had an impressive showing at the ARC Sprint Pentathlon meet in Sacramento.

Three SRJC swimmers qualified to participate in the 50 Free Shoot-Out rounds including:  Ivylee Senn, Jessica Lee, and Celine Sargis.  Senn finished 6th and Lee finished 4th, but Sargis advanced through four rounds and was undefeated to take the overall Shoot-Out title for the Cubs with a time of 25.21.  This was the fifth year in a row that SRJC has had to top shoot-out finisher. 

In the pentathlon competition, which required swimmers to compete in five events including the 50 Free, 200IM, 100 Fly, 100 Back, and the 100 Breast, Lee was crowned the overall champion finishing 4th in the 50, winning the IM, fly and back, and taking 3rd in the breast.

The Cubs head into their final regular season meet this weekend at Chabot College in Hayward.
