SRJC's swimmers and divers are currently in the middle of their 2016 season, and are just coming off a successful weekend after posting many season bests and state-qualifying times at the Cuesta College Invite in San Luis Obispo.
Santa Rosa finished 3rd overall behind Orange Coast and Sierra. The Cubs won five individual events including: Celine Sargis in the 200 IM, Lucia Mora in the 200 Breast, and freshman Jessica Lee pulling the hat trick with wins in the 1650 Free, 100 Fly, and 500 Free. Lee's times in both the mile (17:55.62) and the 500 (5:08.90) are currently ranked no. 1 in the state.
Freshman diver, Elana Candiotti also took 2nd on both the 1M and 3M boards in the diving competition. SRJC's relays took 2nd in the 200 Free, 800 Free, and the 200 Medley.
In the CCCAA the SRJC women are currently ranking top 5 in the state.
The Bear Cubs will compete in the Big 8 Invite this Friday at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill. They will travel for a dual against Sierra on March 25th, and then host their final home meets on Saturday, March 26th against Las Positas at 10am and the SRJC Alumni at 3pm.
