Women's Swimming Sweep Relays and Take 8 Individual Victories

After a close 2nd place finish to conference rival Sierra College in their NorCal Relays opener on February 6th, the Bear Cub women opened on the road with a dominating performance at the two-day, 20-team Hawk Invite last weekend hosted at Las Positas College. The team swept all four relays in the 20 team, two-day meet and won eight individual events as well.

Multiple event winners included sophomores Ivylee Senn (50 and 100 Fly), Celine Sargis (100 IM and 200 Back), and freshman Jessica Lee (1650 and 500 Free), and Lucia Mora (50 and 200 Breast).  

Coach McCormick said, "It was nice to finally get on the road and travel with the team (since we opened our season at home).  It is always a good experience for the team to travel and perform–focus level was high and the team was healthy and ready to roll."

The Cubs now hope to take this momentum into their next meet, the Los Rios Invitational at Sac City College, and into their mid-season peak meet in San Luis Obispo next month.
