Women's Soccer Narrowly Misses Advancing to Post-Season

SRJC Women's Soccer ended their 2019 season with a record of 8-10-3. Although they had a strong start to their preseason going 4-1, the team was faced adversity mid-season with injuries, a lock-down, and the Kincade fire evacuations and school closures.  However, the team pushed forward and competed the best they could.

The program was able to celebrate their eight sophomores at home for their last regular season game. The team just missed advancing to playoffs by one spot ranking 19th overall in the north (1-18 advance). They are ready to start fresh this coming spring and gear up for an even better 2020 season.

The program would like to publicly thank our graduating sophomores who have left their mark on the program and will be deeply missed: Gizela Carranza, Morgan Jernigan, Jarely Figuero, Mariah Blevins, Kese McQuillen, Ryan Hernandez, Ana Hernandez, and Krystal Garcia. And thank you to the coaching staff, three of which are alumni of the program whom all played for head coach Crystal Chaidez; Steven Cumberton, Jillian Van Riper, Angelica Moralez, and Megan Neely.

If you are interested in joining the Women's Soccer program please contact head coach Crystal Chaidez via email choward@santarosa.edu or phone 707-953-1172.
