Women's Soccer: Brooker commits to South Dakota State University

Brooker signs letter

Committing to play at South Dakota State University was an easily made decision. Right from my beginning contacts with the coaching staff, players and even school faculty I felt that was where I wanted to be. SDSU has an amazing athletics program that will allow me to play at a very high level. My goal at the JC was to have two successful years as a bear cub and transfer to a school that allows me to continue playing at an impressive level with an already well established team. SDSU has provided me with an amazing opportunity and I am blessed to be able to take it. I'm thankful for answered prayers and I'm looking forward to this next step both academically and athletically!

My two years at SRJC have been filled with pure growth on and off the field. From my first game my freshman year to my last game as a sophomore, I have grown as a player on and off the field. The growth is credited to not only my teammates, but my irreplaceable coaching staff and more specifically our head coach Crystal Chaidez. Without these two years here as a bear cub, my soccer career would be a much different story. I'm truly grateful to have been able to come to such a well run and athletically successful junior college. The opportunities and doors that have opened for me on and off the field that have come directly from the women's soccer program and Crystal herself have genuinely set me on a path for success. I thank the Lord for placing the people I have come in contact with in my life through this school. The support I've received and high expectations I was held to while apart of this program has been huge. Though I'm beyond excited to begin my next chapter of collegiate soccer I feel truly blessed to have been a part of this program. Once a bear cub always a bear cub.
