The Bear Cubs will face the Taft Cougars from the Central Valley Conference for their 1st round playoff game on Saturday, at 2pm at home.  The Bear Cubs enter the match with a 13-5-2 record overall, sharing 2nd place in the Big 8 Conference with Sierra College. The Taft Cougars will make the trip to Santa Rosa with a 12-7-1 record, earning them a 2nd place finish in the Central Valley Conference.

SRJC finished out their regular season with solid wins, going 4-0-1 in the last five games and allowing only 1 goal.  Santa Rosa claimed 9 shutouts and outscored their opponents 37-16 throughout the season.   Key factors in the Bear Cubs' success has come from sophomore captain, Chelsea Frostick, who has been a stalwart defender all season, and sophomores Taylor Halstenson and Kayleen Belda who have led the Bear Cubs attack, combining for 10 goals and 14 assists.  Freshman midfielder, Natalia Picano, also helped to score important goals (6) for Santa Rosa, securing their #3 seed in playoffs.
