Karen Horii

Karen Horii joined the Lady Bear Cub program as an assistant coach in the fall of 1990. In 1992, she assumed the role of statistician/computer expert. Before coming to Santa Rosa, Horii served as the assistant coach and statistician for the Santa Barbara City College women’s basketball program from 1983-1990.
Horii played point guard at UC Santa Barbara from 1972-1975. She earned her Bachelors and teaching credential in physical education at UC Santa Barbara.
Conveniently, Horii is a full-time microcomputer lab specialist for Instructional Computing here at SRJC, so she does all of the computer-related tasks, including preparing game programs and the men's & women's basketball media guide.
