After missing their first four shots of the period, the Bear Cubs finally sank one--a 3-pointer by Sadie Irvine with 5:22 on the clock. On their next possession Meme Nicolis hit a short shot, then Irvine dropped in another 3-pointer for a 39-38 lead at the 4:15 mark. The Monarchs hit a short shot 20 seconds later.             The Bear Cubs started the fourth quarter with the ball and La Donna Saint Louis hit a field goal. Pope made both free throws for an 81-77 advantage with 1.9 seconds to go. The Bear Cubs called their last timeout and inbounded in front of their bench. Madison Barsuglia caught the inbounds pass and swished a long 3-pointer at the buzzer, bringing the tight battle to a dramatic completion one point short for the Bear Cubs 80-81.
