Gockel's great performance in the Pole Vault earned him a meet record, equaling his competitor's vault of 16-feet, 2.75 inches. Adam continued his impressive performance record with a 1st place throw in the Javelin (180'-7") and a 3rd place finish in the 110-High Hurdles (15.88). This was all icing on the cake after Gockel's 1st place finish in the Nor Cal Multi-Event Championships just two weeks prior.

Other impressive performances at the Big 8 Championships include Sam Richter's 2nd place finish at 800-meters (1:57.17), Chris Tose's 2nd place 5000-meter (15:38.32) performance, and Isaiah Roybal's 3rd place in the 100-meters (11.79) and a season's best 21.67-seconds in the 200-meters.

Rounding out the top performances are 5th place finishes for Trevor Wofford, with a season's best in the 400-Hurdles (56.60) and Ian Fisher in the 110-High Hurdles (16.09). The Bear Cub men took 5th place overall with 85.50 points.

Nor Cal Qualifiers will compete on Thursday, May 4th (10K); Friday, May 5th for trials and Saturday, May 13th for the finals at DeAnza College in Cupertino.

We hope to see you there! Go Bear Cubs!
