Garrett Hill gave up one run over six innings to lead the Bear Cubs to a 4-1 victory over visiting Diablo Valley College. Matt Becker picked up the save by striking 7 of the 10 batters he faced allowing one hit and no runs in three innings of relief. Offensively, the Bear Cubs were led by Weston Bryan, 2-3, 2B, RBI and Bryce Nagata 2-3, RBI.
Not to be outdone, Dustin Oliver & Kyle Mitchell (pictured) combined to blank Sierra College in a 2-0 victory. Oliver pitched six strong innings to get the win and Mitchell closed the game out with one hit over the final three innings to pick up the save. Offensively, RbI's by Nagata and Jake Scheiner would be all the runs needed to get the victory over the Wolverines. With the wins the Bear Cubs improved to 11-4. The Bear Cubs open league with a three game series over Delta College of Stockton this week.
