M. SOCCER: NORCAL TRIP

The FC men's soccer team took a trip up to Northern California to play a couple of top-tier NorCal teams.

On Thursday, Fullerton knocked off Cañada College 3-1, and then on Saturday the Hornets tied 0-0 at Santa Rosa Junior College.

The Hornets took a 1-0 lead early in Thursday's game against Cañada. Kevan Aragon placed the ball into the back of the net in the 28th minute, while Steve Perez helped with the assist. 

In the 70th minute, Ryan Meinardus got past the goalie for an unassisted shot giving Fullerton a 2-0.

Steve Perez put the game on ice six minutes later with assist coming from Diego Anaya.

Cañada snuck in a late unassisted goal in junk time by Felipe Aguayo (85th minute).

The Santa Rosa game was a defensive standoff as the Bear Cubs' goalie made two game-saving plays to keep the Hornets from scoring on a PK.

Up Next: FC (4-2-1 overall) will finally host its first game of the season when Cuyamaca College comes to campus on Tuesday, September 21 for a non-conference match. he at 3:00 pm.
