The Bear Cubs pull away from the Panthers in the final 5+ minutes of the game to win 83-73
On January 30th, the Santa Rosa Bear Cubs took on and beat the Sacramento City Panthers by a score of 83-73.  Sac City held their own the entire game against a tough Santa Rosa team that is undefeated in the Big 8 Conference.  Gabe Serna had a big night by dropping 24 points on 9 for 19 shooting and 6 of those shots being three pointers.  Another impressive performer was by Raphael Durr who came up just short of a Triple-Double with 19 points, 8 assists, and 8 rebounds.
 
the Bear cubs had 5 players score in double-digits. yet the Panthers were still within striking distance late in the second half.  Despite trading buckets and free throws, the Bear Cubs down the stretch found a way to close it out. Their leading scorers were  Skylar Chavez with 22 points and Jordan Graves with 17.
 
The Panthers next game will be at American River on Friday, February 2nd. Tip-off will be at 5:30.
