Freshman SS Darin Eales (Bear Creek) hit his second home run of the season in the 2nd inning at Santa Rosa JC on Saturday to give the Beavers a 1-0 lead.  The home run tied Eales for the team lead with two and gave the Beavers ten for the season which surpasses the 2017 team which had 9. The last time the Beavers had double digit home runs was in 2008 when the team had 14.  On Saturday though the lead was short lived.  After putting up a zero in the first inning starter Wyatt Bahlke (Woodcreek) allowed a pair of runs in the bottom of the 2nd and then three runs in the third to put the Bear Cubs up for good.  The Beavers managed just two hits the rest of the way, a leadoff double in the 8th inning by CF Dominic Ott (Woodcreeek), his team leading 9th double of the season, and an RBI single in the 9th by 3B Anthony Packard (Colfax).

The Beavers return to action next week to face cross-town rival Cosumnes River College.  The Beavers final three weeks of the season are against the three other Los Rios District schools, Cosumnes River, Folsom Lake and they finish the season with rivalry week against Sacramento City College.
