TEX WASABI'S APRIL STUDENT-ATHLETES OF THE MONTH
The Tex Wasabi's April Student Athlete of the Month goes to two quality athletes: Women's Track & Field's sophomore, Eva King, and Bear Cub Baseball's pitcher Garrett Hill.
King was the Big 8 Champion in the Long Jump, 2nd in the Triple Jump, and 3rd in the High Jump. She was awarded the Field Athlete of the Meet honor during the Conference Championships on April 27th.
Right-handed, sophomore, starting pitcher Garrett Hill had four starts and went 3-0 in April. He gave up just 7 runs in the 24 innings, with 20 strikeouts. Hill was also awarded the Co-Pitcher of the Year for the Big 8 Conference. Hill will be attending San Diego State University next fall on a baseball scholarship.
